Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the purchase, download, access, and use of digital products provided by Cody & Co Family (“Cody & Co”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By purchasing or using our digital products, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. 

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not purchase, download, or use our products.

Description of Product: Digital Excel budgeting template and related digital files. Link available for 7 days only.   

Price: As displayed at checkout, including applicable taxes. Delivery Method: Electronic download only.  

Contract Type: One‑time purchase of digital content.  

Cancellation Rights: Non-refundable digital download. 

 

2. Eligibility and Technical Requirements

Before purchasing, you must ensure that you meet the following requirements: 

• Microsoft Excel: You must have access to Microsoft Excel (desktop version) or compatible spreadsheet software. Some features may not function correctly in alternative programs (e.g., Google Sheets, Numbers, OpenOffice). 

• Basic computer skills: You should be able to navigate spreadsheets, enter data, and save files. 

• Recommended device: A laptop or desktop computer is recommended. Display or functionality may vary on mobile devices. 

It is your responsibility to confirm compatibility before purchase. We are not responsible for issues arising from unsupported software or devices. 

 

 

3. Nature of the Product

All products sold are digital downloads. No physical item, packaging, or media will be shipped. 

4. Delivery and Access

Upon confirmation of payment: 

• You will receive access to download the digital file(s) for 7 days. 

• You are responsible for downloading and saving your copy promptly. 

• We recommend backing up your file(s) in a secure location (e.g., cloud storage or external drive). 

• Access may occasionally be affected by technical issues beyond our control. We will use reasonable efforts to restore access as quickly as possible. 

If you experience technical difficulties accessing your purchase, contact us promptly. 

5. Refunds and Cancellation

Because this is digital content made available immediately upon purchase, all sales are final, except where required by applicable law. 

Once a Product has been purchased and made available for download, it is considered delivered, and no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations will be issued, except where required by applicable law. 

We encourage you to review all product descriptions, previews, and the requirements in Section 2 carefully before completing your purchase. If you have questions about the Product before buying, please contact us first. 

 

6. Display and Appearance

Colors, formatting, and visual appearance may vary depending on your device, screen resolution, or version of Microsoft Excel. We do not guarantee identical appearance to product images. 

7. License and Permitted Use

Upon purchase, Cody & Co grants you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to use the Product for personal, household, non‑commercial use only. 

You may: 

• Use the Product on multiple personal devices within your household; 

• Make backup copies for personal use; 

• Modify the file for your own budgeting purposes. 

You may not: 

• Resell, redistribute, share, or sublicense the Product; 

• Upload the Product publicly or make it available for download; 

• Remove branding or copyright notices; 

• Use the Product to create derivative commercial products; 

• Reverse engineer or extract proprietary formulas for commercial use. 

We may terminate your license if you violate these Terms. 

8. Intellectual Property

All content, formulas, layout, design, and structure of the Product are the exclusive property of Cody & Co Family and protected under copyright and intellectual property laws. 

No ownership rights are transferred to you. 

9. No Professional Advice

The Product and any related materials are provided for general informational and organizational purposes only. They do not constitute: 

• financial advice; 

• legal advice; 

• tax advice; 

• accounting advice; 

• investment advice. 

You are responsible for verifying the accuracy and relevance of any information for your personal circumstances. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified professional for personalized guidance. 

 

10. Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge that budgeting decisions involve personal judgment and financial risk. Cody & Co makes no guarantees regarding financial outcomes, savings, or results obtained through use of the Product. 

You acknowledge and agree that you assume all risks associated with any financial decision, investment, purchase, or action you take based on, or in connection with, your use of the budget template or any information provided with the Product. 

11. Warranty Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by Quebec law, the Product is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, including: 

• fitness for a particular purpose; 

• merchantability; 

• uninterrupted or error‑free operation; 

• compatibility with future versions of Microsoft Excel. 

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Quebec law: 

• Cody & Co shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages; 

• We are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, or data arising from use of the Product. 

13. Privacy and Personal Information 

We may collect: 

• your name; 

• email address; 

• testimonials voluntarily provided; 

• purchase‑related information. 

We use this information to: 

• deliver your purchase; 

• provide customer support; 

• improve our products; 

• publish testimonials only with valid consent. 

You have the right to: 

• request access to your personal information; 

• request correction; 

• request deletion; 

• withdraw consent for testimonial use.

14. Testimonials and Consent

If you voluntarily post commentary on public social media or send feedback directly to Cody & Co, you consent to its use as a testimonial.  

By providing a testimonial with consent, you grant Cody & Co a non‑exclusive licence to use it for promotional purposes. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us. 

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated clearly, and continued use of the Product after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. 

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec. Any legal proceedings shall be brought before the courts of Quebec.
